Abstract

The parametric instability of a rotating, pretwisted and preconed cantilever beam with setting angle under a harmonic axial excitation has been studied. The effects of pretwist, precone and setting angle on the static buckling loads as well as the instability regions of simple and combination resonance, and those of rotational speed, thickness ratio and Coriolis force on the resonance zones are investigated. © 1992.
