Abstract

The microanatomy of lateral periodontal tissues was examined after root canal obturation by a warm gutta-percha technique had been accomplished. Inflammatory responses were slight and of short duration. The use of hot instruments for the condensation of the filling material did not appear to endanger the integrity of the lateral periodontium. © 1976.
