Abstract

Acetals and tetrahydropyranyl derivatives of phenols are efficiently and highly chemoselectively deprotected in the presence of catalytic amounts of [Ru(CH3CN)3(triphos)]-(OTf)2(triphos = CH3C(CH2PPh2)3), under mild condition, in good to excellent yields. © 1993.
