Abstract

Sufficient fusion protein is present in single plaques produced by lytic, recombinant λ bacteriophage to be detected by Coomassie blue staining following electrophoresis on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gels. Agar plugs containing single plaques can be loaded directly onto the stacking gel thus avoiding the need for extensive sample preparation. © 1986.
