Abstract

A model of the evaporation of coal-water mixture droplets was developed, based on the concept of variable mass and using the moisture content as the scalar parameter. The model treats the droplet as a heterogeneous mixture of pulverized coal and water. Previous work using liquid droplet description is shown not to be suitable for coal-water mixture. © 1993.
