An isomeric state with a mean life of 4.5(2) μs and a spin of 65- 2 has been observed in213Fr at an excitation energy of 8095 keV. A g-factor of 0.695(7) was measured for this state using the TDPAD method. The properties of this isomer agree very well with predictions of semi empirical shell model calculations when coupling to the 3-octupole vibration are included. © 1989.
