Further results on Lagrange multipliers with several binding constraints

Abstract

The Theorem in Weber (Economics Letters 1998;59:71-75) is shown to have more reach than originally recognized. Even with this added bite, the result is relatively weak for economic applications. A new theorem is therefore established that provides an economically important extension of it. © Elsevier Science B.V.
