Abstract

A four-variable chemical reaction model is presented. We show that the system has a chaotic attractor having two positive Lyapunov characteristic exponents so that its fractal dimension is greater than three. The Poincaré section is shett-like. The hyperchaotic attractor appears and disappears suddenly with variation of a parameter. © 1987.
