Abstract

A series of nickel(0)/BF3·OEt2catalyst systems have been tested in the addition polymerization of norbornene. Experimental evidence for Ni(II) hydride formation as a result of interaction between Ni(PPh3)4and BF3·OEt2in the presence of controlled amounts of H2O was obtained. © 2009 Elsevier B.V.
