Abstract

The magnitudes of image aberrations of particle-optical systems are different if the corresponding ion beams fill elliptical or parallelogram-like phase-space areas. Corresponding factors are derived for aberrations of all orders and listed numerically for aberrations up to fifth order. © 1988.
