Abstract

A case of infection with Mycobacterium haemophilum, an unusual iron or haemin-dependent Mycobacterium is described. Cultural requirements, biochemical reactions and drug sensitivities are discussed and compared with other recent isolations of M. haemophilum and similar unusual mycobacteria. © 1983.
