Abstract

The ability of SDS-polycrylamide gels to resolve relatively high concentrations of lipopolysaccharides was related to the concentration of urea in the separation gel. Adequate profiles of lipopolysaccharide in gels can be achieved by staining with the periodic acid-Schiff stain, and these serve as important controls to gels stained with the silver stain. © 1983.
