An approach to compensate the offset of lateral bipolar magnetotransistors (LMTs) is presented. The method is based on the use of the response of LMTs to a common mode signal. This response is a "measure" of the unbalance of the transistors which conform the LMT. It is shown that these signals are linearly related, thus, the offset at the output stage of the designed processing electronics can be cancelled. Simulation and experimental results validate the proposed method.
