Abstract

Notion of alcoholic disease goes back to about half a century. Emerged from many other forms of excess in the consumption of substances or activities practices. To treat these disorders, the notion of disease is no longer relevant because considering only dependency on the substance or activity in question, it puts aside the wish and will problems. Yet, they play an important role. Hence, the relevance of the concept of addiction which can grasp of them, provided that is not overlooked the fact that the ability to decide remains unresolved in all addictions whatever the degree of dependence. © 2009.
