Abstract

The quasi-line spectra of guest molecules in organic matrices are analyzed by the adiabatic theory of impurity centres. The effects of changes of the normal coordinates of the oscillators during photo-transitions are included. Weak, intermediate, and strong coupling are considered. The principal effects of temperature are explained. © 1973.
