Tritium-labeled gibberellins (GA1, GA4, GA5, GA8 and GA20) were fed to immature bean seeds 18 days after anthesis and their metabolic pathways were investigated. The results suggest that GA4 and GA20 are both converted to GA1, and the latter and GA5 into GA8. Conversions to corresponding glucosides and glucosyl esters also occurred. On germination, GA1 was rapidly converted into GA8 glucoside, and a slight decrease in radioactivity of GA1 glucosyl ester was observed. © 1975.
