Abstract

This paper presents a comparison of the performance of some iterative methods for solving two-dimensional convection-diffusion equations arising from computational fluid dynamics. A number of numerical experiments are performed to compare preconditioned GRMES iterative method, CGS iterative method with preconditioning, and preconditioned Bi-CGSTAB iterative method. The main subject of the current work is mainly focused on the convergence behaviors of the three iterative methods. © 2003 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
