Abstract

First measurements on circular dichroism of the angular distribution of photoelectrons from oriented molecules are described. The experiments employ angle-resolved photoelectron-photoion coincidences (ARPEPICO) in order to determine the direction of the molecule in space at the moment of photoionization. Particular emphasis is given to the dichroism in the angular distribution of oriented molecules photoionized by circularly polarized light.
