We report on investigations of thin cobalt films evaporated on W(110). The measurements have probed Magnetic Circular Dichroism in photoelectron angular distribution (MCDAD) and spin-resolved photoemission (SPUPS) with unpolarized light. In particular the energetic dependence of the MCDAD-effect and of the spin-resolved intensities were studied. The results of both experiments are compared in order to get a deeper insight into exchange and spin-orbit interactions. © 1995.
