Abstract

The dispersion of plumes released from tall stacks into the atmosphere is generally studied by means of ground-based instruments, both mobile and fixed; relatively few experiments based on airborne measurements have been carried out (Sandroni et al., 1981). We describe here some observations of a power plant plume taken from an altitude of 900 km by LANDSAT satellites. © 1983.
