Abstract

Thin films of parent polyaniline (PANi) were produced using the self-assembly (SA) technique, by immersing substrates into solutions of PANi in dimethylformamide and acetonitrile. The adsorbed polymer is undoped which means that the driving force for adsorption was probably H-bonding. Polymer adsorption depends on the polymer solution concentration, immersion time and washing procedures.
