Abstract

With the help of the optical Kerr effect we can produce phase fluctuations caused by intensity fluctuations. For this effect we present an exact solution in the Heisenberg picture. Interference of such a light beam with a reference beam produce enhanced bunching as well as antibunching of weak fields. © 1979.
