Abstract

Electronic Raman scattering to low lying levels of trivalent cobalt ion in Co(NH4)2SO · 6H2O has been observed. The transitions were identified on basis of measurement of the scattering tensor and their temperature dependent intensity. The positions of the electronic levels are somewhat different from the energies which were calculated from magnetic resonance measurements. © 1970.
