Abstract

The use of LiAlH4saturated solutions in tetrahydrofuran and dimethoxyethane media as reducing agent is reported. The obtained products are easily isolable from the reaction mixture and correspond to the composition LiU2Cl7·9/2S and UCl3·3/2S′ respectively (S = tetrahydrofuran and S′ = dimethoxyethane). © 1982.
