Abstract

The ruthenium(II) polypyridine labeled cytochrome c3derivative, Ru(bpy)2(dcbpy)-cytochrome c3, was synthesized and characterized by using spectroscopic techniques and applied to hydrogen evolution. Ru(bpy)2(dcbpy)- cytochrome c3can be used as a substrate on hydrogen evolution with hydrogenase. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
