Abstract

Sivanesania rubi gen. et sp. nov. is described and illustrated. It is placed in the Botryosphaeriaceae based on stromatic, hamathecial, ascus and ascospore characters. It is easily distinguished from the other members of this family by its characteristic ascospore with a basal filiform, hyaline, cellular, simple appendage. © 1994, British Mycological Society.
