Abstract

(Me2Si(OBu-tert)(NBu-tert)Li)2 and Me2Si(OBu-tert)(NBu-tert)SnMe3<br />were used to introduce Me2Si(OBu-tert)(NBu-tert)- (L-) into mol.<br />compds. of Ga and In. LM(Me)Cl (M = Ga, In), LInMe2, LInX2 (X = Cl,<br />Br), L2InX and L2Ga2Cl2 were prepd. L is assumed to chelate the metal<br />atom on the basis of temp. dependent 1H NMR spectra. The chelating<br />effect is more pronounced in the Ga derivs. than in the In analogs.<br />Equil. between L2InX/InX3 and LInX2 were obsd. in Et2O solns. No<br />LGa or LIn were isolated. L2Ga2Cl2, formally contg. Ga(II), was sublimed<br />without decompn. at 110 in vacuo.
