Abstract

The process of niobium deposition in LiF-KF-K2NbF7 system was investigated. The thermodynamic and structural properties of the system including the phase diagrams, density, surface tension, and viscosity parameters were analyzed. The coordinates of the eutectic points of two ternary systems were found, and the effects of thermal dissociation were discussed. The process of deposition occurred in a reversible two-step reduction mechanism.
