Abstract

Low temperature a.c.-susceptibility measurements of the intermetallic compound TmCo2under various external magnetic fields up to 1.5 T are reported. Two magnetic phase transitions were found at the temperatures 3.4 and 3.8 K. The origins of the transitions are discussed on the basis of quadrupolar as well as magnetic interactions. © 1995.
