About

I am an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Qatar University. I obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2012, a Master of Computer Science from the University of Essex in 2005, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington in 2004. I am a researcher, an educator, and a project manager. My research revolves around improving the performance of systems software. I love to work on practical, technically challenging problems in the areas of cloud computing, mobile technology, multimedia, networking, and web architecture. I teach graduate and undergraduate courses in distributed systems, networking, and operating systems. I am also passionate about community service and I have experience in managing large complex projects with diverse teams and various key stakeholders.
