About

I teach Computer Science and Electronics at the Escola Andorrana School in the Principality of Andorra (http://www.xena.ad/adbatx/), since 1995. More recently, I have been giving courses on GNU/Linux at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, http://www.uoc.edu). On the more academic side of things, I have had a rather varied cursus, earning degrees in - DEUG in English litterature (Université de Perpignan) - DUGES in Management (Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse III) - Master en estudis d'Àsia Oriental (UOC) - Llicenciatura en estudis d'Àsia Oriental (UOC) My main interest has always been in computer science: - Licence en Informatique (Université de Toulouse III) - Llicenciatura en Enginyeria en Informàtica Engineering (University of Andorra and UOC) - Postgrau en Telemàtica (University of Andorra) - Master in Open Source Software (UOC) My (professional) interests include: - all aspects of server administration, specially under the Linux operating system (including RedHat, Fedora and Debian). You can find several of my articles in Linux Gazette at http://tldp.org/LDP/LG/authors/ward.html. - computer programming, mostly in Python, C and Java. - number theory, specifically as it affects data crypting. - the construction of Beowulf clusters.
