Obtained MSc in Industrial Biotechnology in February 2005, he starts a collaboration with Diasorin SpA, an industrial group that operates in vitro diagnostic branch, working in the Dept. of Biotecnology and Biosciences, University of Milano-Bicocca, in the Prof. Francesco Nicotra Research Group under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Peri. His work concerns on synthesis of chemiluminescent and immunoreagents in order to develop new probes useful for Chemiluminescent Immuno Assay (CLIA) technologies. In 2006 he starts his PhD in Chemistry in Prof. Francesco Peri Research Group, working on organic/medicinal chemistry. His work concerns on synthesis of new potential inhibitors of Ras protein based on glycidic scaffold as potential antitumor agents. During this period he had also different experiences as didactics tutor in Organic Chemistry, in General and Inorganic Chemistry and in Laboratory courses. In December 2009, he obtains the PhD in Chemistry and now he is continuing his collaboration with Diasorin SpA as external advisor in a tight collaboration with R&D and the Production division. Since April 2010 he has a full-time temporary position in the Nerviano Research Centre (Diasorin SpA) as organic chemistry researcher in the immunochemistry unit. TECHNICAL SKILLS Organic Chemist skilled in planning and execute multi-step synthesis, purification (flash chromatography, preparative HPLC, extraction and crystallization) and analytical characterization (NMR, Mass spectrometry, TLC). Experienced in evaluating structure-activity relationship and design optimization of putative bioactive compounds (rational drug design). Experienced in working with a multidisciplinary scientific group.
