About

My research investigates how species interactions promote and maintain biodiversity through evolutionary and ecological mechanisms. I am especially interested in the roles that spatial, temporal, and spatio-temporal dynamics have in facilitating the coexistence of interacting species. To develop and test hypotheses about the influence of species interactions on biodiversity, I use a combination of theoretical and empirical approaches. These approaches include the use of mathematical and computer models, and the complementary use of abundance and morphological data collected from the field, particularly from plant-insect communities.
