Alexander Huber has an MA in English from the University of Munich, specializing in 18th-century literature. He worked as project manager for the Virtual Library of Anglo-American Culture project, conducted in the R&D department at Göttingen State and University Library, from 1999 to 2002. While at Göttingen, he co-founded The Thomas Gray Archive (with Reimer Eck, Associate Director of Göttingen State and University Library) in 2000. Since 2002 he has been working in the digital library programme of the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford. As a specialist in digital humanities technologies, the editor has been involved in humanities research projects since 1995. He is a member of the British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (BSECS).
