I am an University Assistant and PhD student at Politehnica University of Bucharest, the Computer Science Department. Among my interests I would mention: Embedded Systems, High Performance Computing, Distributed Systems and Parallel Architectures.
During the past year, I have been coordinating diploma projects and summer school projects regarding Mobile Programming, especially on Android devices. For my PhD research, I am focused on methods of using mobile devices with high performance computing systems, for offering real-time complex applications, such as augmented reality engines.
Our group is also involved with three FP7 research projects in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks: Sensei, which is focused on integrating the physical and the digital world of the network, EUWB, which is focused with short range radio using the ultra-wide band technology and TwisNet, which aims to develop trustworthy industrial wireless sensor networks.
I have graduated Politehnica University of Bucharest, the Computer Science Department, with a major in Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence. My diploma thesis, which I developed during a six months program at the National University of Singapore, focused on improving the quality of the textures on 3D buildings reconstructed in the virtual world from photographs.
