About

I am currently completing my dissertation, “‘The Different Way We Tried to Respond’: Women, Literature, and the Environment, 1900-1950,” which argues that numerous women made crucial contributions to ecological discourses of the early twentieth century—more specifically, that they produced nuanced accounts of the relationships between humans and environments in their visual and textual representations of “nature” and “landscape.” My teaching and research interests include nineteenth- and twentieth-century British literature, women writers, gender and sexuality studies, digital humanities, landscape studies, ecocriticism, and cultural geography.
