My Bachelor´s thesis was about proteomics and enzymology of a rot fungus called Penicillium purpurogenum, that helped me to understand the degradation of wood and possible biotechnological applications in the industry.
After finishin my thesis, I was working for two years, using other rot fungus as model to study circadiam rhythms at molecular level. I obtained a lot of experience as a researcher assistance in this molecular biology laboratory.
Since two years ago, I have been studying new technologies here in Finland, in order to apply scientific knowledge in the pulping industry in my own country (Chile). I am working as a researcher at the same time in a big company which produce cellulose pulp, they want to improve their process in order to decrease the environmental impact, to increase production, and to get new products.
