About

I am currently working in Government of India approved scheme “Centre for Glaciology”, operating in Wadia institute of Himalayan Geology by Department of Science and Technology. Major objective of the Centre is to mount a coordinated research initiative on Himalayan glaciers to understand the factors controlling the effects of climate on glaciers. (1). To establish flagship field station for carrying out high quality meteorological, hydrological, sediment transfer as well as mass balance and glacier dynamic studies to establish interlinkages between various forcing factors. (2). Document and understand long-term glacier-climate interactions in the Himalaya through laboratory based, chronological constrained studies on sediment records including ice-core.
