Amitav holds a Master of Philosophy from UNSW Australia and a Master of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from Macquarie University. He also has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting from Australian Catholic University, as well as an Advance Diploma in Accounting from GCA, Sydney. Amitav is a qualified Certifed Practicing Accountant (CPA) and a fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants Australia. Amitav teaches in the areas of financial accounting and management accounting. Amitav's research interest includes financial reporting standards, international accounting diversity and international accounting standards. Amitav regularly present his research work at local and international conferences.
