I am currently pursuing a PhD/MBA dual degree at the University of Connecticut. My PhD field of research is molecular and cell biology, with a concentration in microbiology. As a member of the Lynes laboratory my dissertation is focused on the bacterial metallothionein, PmtA, in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. I am interested in its role as a virulence factor and how it modulates the innate immunity.
