Andrej Varchola received his bachelor's degree in Informatics and master's degree in Telecommunication at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Slovak University of Technology, Bratislava. He is currently a Research Assistant and PhD student at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms at Vienna University of Technology. During 2006-2009, he worked as a Research Assistant with the Commission for Scientific Visualization at Austrian Academy of Sciences. His research interests include medical visualization, volume rendering, advanced volume illumination and software development.
