Anthony Michael Scopatz was born in Three Rivers, California on 18 August 1984, the son of Stephen and Jana Scopatz. He then spent his childhood growing up in Simi Valley, California, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Morgan Hill, California. He started studies for his Bachelor of Science in Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. In 2006, he continued on into graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin in the Nuclear and Radiation Engineering Program in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He currently resides in Austin and his main hobby is escaping Civilization for the Great Untamed Wilds of North America. Vox Clamantis in Deserto.
