Arie Nakhmani received the B.Sc. degree (cum laude), the M.Sc. degree (summa cum laude), and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 2004, 2007, and 2011 respectively. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL. His primary research interests are in computer vision, biomedical signal processing, UAV (drone) development, and robust control, with special emphasis on visual tracking, biomedical image analysis, registration, and segmentation.
