After completing my taught masters in mathematical statistics from IIT Kanpur, India, I worked as a research assistant at INRIA Bordeaux for a year on "Design and Analysis of Unsupervised Learning Algorithms" where I got introduced to the Machine Learning and Signal Processing literature. Subsequently, I decided to join the doctoral program at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, where I am working on bayesian analysis of cummunication systems, especially on the wireless channel. Research involves mainly message passing algorithms for approximating posterior distributions. I am also interested in Stochastic Analysis of continuous time processes, especially with respect to their application in signal processing.
