Graduated in Biological Sciences at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) (1985), Master in Psychobiology - UFRN (1991), DEA in Biology of Behaviour University of Paris-Nord (UP 13) (1992), and PhD in Biology of Organisms: Animal Behaviour UP13 (1996). He is currently Full Professor of Animal Behaviour at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. He has experience in studies of animal behaviour, acting on the following topics: foraging strategies, social organization, animal behaviour, mating system. The main experimental subjects are Neotropical primates and most recently ponerines ants. He is Master and PhD adviser in Psychobiology Program Program - UFRN.
