Born in Athens (July 31, 1981), Artemis Chaleplioglou is a graduate from the Faculty of Library & Archives Science of the Ionian University, Corfu – Greece. She also holds an MSc (Master in Information Science) from the same University. Currently she works as the Library Head at the Digital Library of Foundation for Biomedical Research of the Academy of Athens. She has finished her postgraduate studies with scholarships from the State Scholarships Foundation, the Greek Ministry of Education Affairs and the Commercial Bank of Greece (1999 – 2004). Scientific interests include biomedical information management, e-content management and medical information repositories, digital libraries’ management, open access policies, semantic web, as well as the field of information organizations and their setting within Information Society. She speaks English, French and Greek.
