About

PhD in anthropology (2007), my main fieldwork was in West Papua, currently in Uganda and Cameroon. In 2008 I went to UCSD, California with a fellowship from BAEF (Hoover foundation). I am teaching in Belgium & taught in Canada (UOttawa). My research focuses on missionaries among the Asmat people, Christian exorcism compared to dispossesion in ethnopsychiatry context, the invisible content of the Oceanic artefact, representations about landslides in Equatorial Africa & therapeutic use of ayahuasca in Belgian Ardenne.
