Atte Oksanen is professor of social psychology (tenure-track) at the University of Tampere, Finland. He has published in a variety of areas including youth studies, alcohol and drug research, and criminology. His recent research analyzes have analyzed online communities and young people with financial problems. Oksanen is a co-PI of a Hate Communities: A Cross-national Comparison Project, which explores the phenomenon of online hate and aggression among young people.
