Augustyn Lorenc is currently working at the Institute of Rail Vehicles, Cracow university of Technology. He is also working in SKK S.A. in R&D department as specialist of optimization and data analysis. His research interests include supply chain management, cargo forwarding and securing, artificial neural network, warehouse logistics, database design, on-line systems design and transport and logistics market. He has authored several articles and conference papers in the area of cargo securing, goods forwarding and logistics. In 2007 he started work as freelancer in area of web application design and support systems developer. He is also participant of research projects for railway companies and heavy industry and member of team in international Eureka project. He is member of “Society of Polish Mechanical Engineers and Technicians” and certified appraiser in area of Industrial logistics, marketing and management in the industry.
