Aziz Khan is currently pursuing a PhD in bioinformatics and pattern recognition at the Bioinformatics Division, TNLIST, Tsinghua University under CSC scholarship. His research interests are bioinformatics, machine learning, feature selection, and pattern recognition. He holds a M.Sc. in IT from Quaid-I-Azam University; and an MS in Computer Science from NUCES-FAST, Pakistan. His MS thesis is entitled “Feature Selection & Optimization using Machine Learning.”
In 2012 he founded ASN tECH, a web and IT consultancy firm with the ambition of developing systems with maximum performance and flexibility, and providing creative solutions that exemplify modern standards.
He has been working as a community volunteer since 1997. He served as a GS for a volunteer group for three years. He was an active member of AKWO and served as an audio-visual library manager from 1998-2000. In 2011 he founded Gilgit-Baltistan Academia to promote education and update youth regarding academic opportunities.
Furthermore, he has been extensively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities like sports and photography. It helped him to improve his creative thinking and to develop leadership and collaboration skills while working in a team environment.
